Remember

But today no words are present
As tragedy fills my mind

All the words I search for
For a poem I would start

Have gathered all together
In my still and aching heart

The loss that we have suffered
the loss of those we love

Untimely is their journey
To our heaven up above

Memories there to remember
Memories good and bad

Memories for smiling
But also memories sad

Someday we may have answers
to better understand

But now we need each other
to travel hand in hand
